JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Conference opponent Tusculum (8-3-1, 4-1 SAC) heads to Carson-Newman (2-9, 0-6 SAC) tomorrow for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
The Eagles fell to 0-6 in the SAC last Saturday with a 4-0 loss at Newberry.
Both the Pioneers and C-N lost 1-0 to Wingate earlier this season. On Sept. 22, Tusculum defeated King 1-0 thanks to a goal by Jenique Thombs in the 54th minute.
Five days prior, King visited Jefferson City and suffered a 3-0 loss to the Eagles. Freshman Casidy Simonis (Pinkerington, Oh.) scored the game winner in the 51st minute; five minutes later, senior Maleya Garrison (Hendersonville, Tenn.) put up her second goal of the season. Freshman Camilla Olsson (Norway) sealed the 3-0 final score with nine minutes left in the match.
C-N played Tampa in its first game of the season and fell 5-0. In their second game of the year, the Pioneers tied Tampa 0-0 after two overtime periods.
Last season, the Eagles dropped a 2-0 contest at Tusculum; Taylor Lewis scored both goals for TC.
