Lady Eagles down University of the Cumberlands, 7-2

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — The Carson-Newman women's tennis team claimed a 7-2 victory over the University of the Cumberlands on Friday afternoon at the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex.

With the win, Lady Eagles improve to 4-0 on the season.

C-N got off to a solid start by winning all three doubles matches and then claiming four singles matches. Senior Stephanie Goode (Knoxville, Tenn.), sophomore Megan Wilson (Maryville, Tenn.), and freshmen Stefy Stand (Ecuador) and Katie Brown (Douglasville, Ga.) led the way for the Lady Eagles, as they all won both singles and doubles matches.

The Lady Eagles return to action at home on Tuesday against Anderson. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
