Lady Eagles drop 5-4 decision at Catawba

SALISBURY, N.C. — The Carson-Newman women's tennis team was unable to overcome a slow start in doubles action as it fell 5-4 at Catawba in South Atlantic Conference action on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles lost all three doubles matches to begin the day. Senior Taryn Cappadona (Kennesaw, Ga.), freshman Stefy Stand (Ecuador), freshman Katie Brown (Douglasville, Ga.) and senior Stephanie Goode (Maryville, Tenn.) all won their respective singles matches for C-N.

With the loss, the Lady Eagles fall to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

C-N returns to the court on Saturday at Wingate. Match time is set for noon.
