ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman freshman forward Kaitlyn Cupples has been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Tournament team.
The accolade is combined with Cupples winning freshman of the year honors for the league earlier in the week.
Cupples is the only player on the team who didn't play in SAC title game. Wingate's Kayla Harris (the tournament MVP) and Janitsha Williams, as well as Lenoir-Rhyne's Jenni Gust and Jazmine Charles joined Cupples on the all-tournament team.
Cupples pulled in a double-double – her second of the season – against L-R in the semifinals with a 12-point, 14-board performance.
She had 12 points and seven rebounds in the Eagles' quarterfinal game at Holt Fieldhouse against Catawba.
