JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman (3-13, 1-9 SAC) women's soccer team finishes out its 2014 regular season with one final home match and senior night against conference foe Anderson (6-9-1, 3-6-1 SAC) tomorrow at 5 p.m.
The Eagles are coming off their third overtime loss of the year with a 4-3 final at Alabama-Huntsville last Wednesday. Junior midfielder Mikayla Gregg (Newport, Tenn.) put up two goals on the match, and senior Maleya Garrison (Hendersonville, Tenn.) contributed the third.
Gregg currently leads C-N in points with nine; she has four goals and one assist for the season. Garrison is a close second with three goals and six points.
Anderson defeated Erskine 2-0 last Wednesday. Alaina Gay scored both the Trojans' goals in the second half to seal the win for her team.
Last season, C-N and Anderson tied 1-1 after two overtime periods in the final match of the year. Emily Perez took the lead for AU in the 29th minute. In the 64th, Raquel Pimentel (Fla.), since graduated, tied it up off a cross by then-freshman Nora Logan (Charlotte, N.C.).
