Mosengo named TSWA Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Junior Magda Mosengo has been awared her second player of the week honors in the last 24 hours, after being named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Women's Soccer Player of the Week this morning.

The TSWA is comprised of writers, editiors and college sports information directors who work in sports in the state of Tennessee.

Mosengo, who was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week just a day ago, recorded seven points over the weekend helping the Eagles jump off to a 2-0 start to the season.

The London, England native chipped in a goal and an assist in the team's home opener vs. Ferris State on Sept. 1, then followed up with two second-half goals vs. Georgia College just two days later.

"Magda has worked hard over the past 6 to 8 months and has started this fall season off very well for us," said coach Simon Duffy. "It's thrilling to see her awarded not just one, but two awards on the week."
