Nance headed to collegiate all-star game

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman two-time first  team all-SAC longsnapper Dusty Nance (Lewisburg, Tenn.) has accepted an invitation to compete in the College Gridiron Showcase Jan. 10-13  in Bedford, Texas at Pennington Field.

The all-star game features players from all levels of collegiate football, from FBS to NAIA.  Last year's event produced 10 NFL draft picks and 53 unsigned free agents.

Nance had only one bad snap in his Carson-Newman career and went 347 consecutive snaps of punts, extra points and field goals before an opponent  managed to block a kick.

We don't have many stats for long snapper. So here's Nance showing he has what it takes and proposing to his now fiancé live on the Eagle Sports Network after the Eagles' win over Brevard.
