JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Carson-Newman men's golf team kicks
off the fall portion of its 2009-10 schedule on Saturday in the
Honda of Columbia Fall Classic at the Mid Carolina Country Club in
Prosperity, S.C.
The Eagles will go through a practice round on Friday before
playing both the first and second rounds of the tournament
beginning Saturday morning.
The Honda of Columbia Fall Classic is the first of five
tournaments on C-N's fall schedule.
The Eagles will also compete in the Laker Invitational at Crystal
Lake Country Club in Hampton, Ga. (Sept. 20-22), the Cougar
Invitational at Green Island Country Club in Columbus, Ga. (Oct.
4-6), the Queens Invitational at the prestigious TPC Sawgrass in
Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. (Oct. 11-13) and the Southeast Championship
Preview at Tanglewood Park Golf Club in Clemmons, N.C. (Oct.
17-20).
C-N participated in three of its 2009 fall tournaments last
season. The Eagles had strong showings at both the Laker
Invitational and Queens Invitational by claiming sixth and seventh
place, respectively. C-N finished 17th in the Cougar Invitational.
