Eagles hop into NFCA Top 20

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Bolstered by an 11-game winning streak, Carson-Newman's softball program has risen six spots to jump in to the NFCA Top 20.

Carson-Newman is ranked 19th in the fourth week of the national rankings. The Eagles are in the top 20 for the first time since since March 13, 2019 when the Eagles were situated ninth in the poll.  

The Eagles' 11-game win streak is the longest active win streak in the South Atlantic Conference and the Southeast Region, as well as the sixth-longest active win streak in the country.  

Six of the Eagles' 11 win on the spurt have been via the run-rule. Carson-Newman has outscored teams 103-33 on the streak, putting up at least eight runs in all but two games. 

Carson-Newman has scored the most runs in the nation (204) and produced the most hits (263) through its 24 games.  Carson-Newman ranks in the top 20 nationally in 12 offensive categories.  

Leah Sohm, Emily Harris and SieAnna Cameron are first, second and fifth nationally in hits this season with 40, 39 and 35, respectively.  Macey Hughes leads the country with 38 RBI.
