Robertson's Rundown: November 2, 2015

Hey Eagle fans! I hope you all had a good week because we are all enjoying our last few weeks with our teammates. As the regular season is beginning to come to a close, we are starting to truly understand what it is like to play for the girl next to us. It's been a rough week with three road matches, so we haven't had much time to spend on outside activities. However, the lessons that we have learned together this past week have made us grow as individuals and as a team. We came out of this past week 1 and 2, but in the end it has only helped us as a team. We are starting to realize that we only have a few weeks left as THIS team and we are learning to cherish every moment we have with each other. Whether it is the long bus rides back together, or the awesome pre and post game meals we get to share together as a team, we are truly beginning to cling to the memories we are making with one another. College volleyball doesn't last forever but the friendships that we make do.

When Halloween rolled around, we started the day off right with a win over Coker. While some had different plans for the day, we all had an eventful Halloween. A few of the girls chose to stay a little while longer at Coker after our game was finished to watch our Men's Soccer team clinch the regular season title. Both men and women's soccer teams earned their regular season title. While our season is still not over, we are still second in the conference and preparing to win the conference tournament. The girls that chose to head back to Jeff City after the game was over had a very eventful bus ride back. We started off the ride home with some delicious thai food, and once we were all fat and happy we were ready for a nap. After a couple of hours passed, some of us decided we would try to get ready on the bus. Cecily and I had the bright idea to get ready in the tiny bathroom on the bus, and if you have ever seen Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen you would get a very good idea of what we looked like trying to get ready in there. Most of the freshman decided to celebrate Halloween together. We had costumes ranging from Brittney Spears, to baseball players, and even to 80s ladiezzzz. We got to end our long work week with a little bit of play.

This next week we are preparing to win out the remainder of our games against Tusculum, Newberry, Anderson and Mars Hill. Keep us in your prayers as we spend another weekend on the road!!

God bless and GO EAGLES!
