FEMALE PERFORMANCE:

Kayla Marosites v. King: Kayla Marosites became the first player in Lady Eagle recorded history to register a 20-point, 20-rebound night propelling Carson-Newman to program victory No. 800, 111-82 over King, in the home opener on Nov. 13 at Holt Fieldhouse. She matched her own program record with 22 rebounds on the night finishing with 27 points adding nine assists, two blocks and two steals going 9-for-18 from the field. It's a feat that came in the 1,226th game in school history.

Morgan Ballard v. Queens (SAC Championship): With 40 digs in the SAC title-clinching match sweep of Queens on Nov. 23, Morgan Ballard reset her own SAC record for a three-set contest with 40 passing her prior mark of 39 that she set on Oct. 6, 2018 versus Mars Hill. It is tied for the second-most in NCAA Division II volleyball history in a match of that length.

Erin Edwards v. Augusta (Southeast Region Title): Helping Carson-Newman sweep Augusta in the Southeast Region final on Dec. 7, the junior outside hitter paced all players with a career-high 19 kills of the team's 44 posting a scorching .435 hitting percentage. Edwards averaged 4.30 kills per set over the three matches hitting .396 on the weekend.

Erin Edwards v. #24 Wingate (SAC Semifinal): En route to the team's second SAC Tournament Championship, Edwards crushed 17 kills on just 36 swings hitting .417 while adding four block assists and four digs in a four-set win over the Bulldogs.

Emilee Futrell v. Tusculum: In a trip to Greenville, Futrell made the most of her regular-season finale with her third brace of the season, providing the first overtime winner of the season for C-N in the 95th minute. Her first goal came in the 65th minute -- a rocket shot to the upper right-hand corner to put the Eagles out in front.

Jasmine Rizk 11 saves against Catawba draw: A flurry of saves made by the senior keeper Rizk kept the Eagles in the contest and ultimately helped earn a point on the table with a 1-1 draw after 110 minutes of play. Rizk's 11 saves in Salisbury marked a new season high and career high for saves in a single match.

Rachel Strayer at Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational: Rachel Strayer took home first-place at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational 5k on Sept.6 in a time of 19:01.85, besting her 13th-place performance at last season's event by more than six seconds. The women's side of the cross country team took second-place overall at the event, beating rival Lees-McRae by over 20 points.

Rachel Strayer at Southeast Regional: Rachel Strayer finished in sixth place out of 191 participants at the NCAA Southeast Regional 6k in a time of 22:20.6. The finish was the cherry on top of a phenomenal 2019 resume that was enough to get her selected at-large to participate in the 2019 NCAA Cross Country National Championships.

Mary Northcutt at Emory Invitational: Mary Northcutt won the 50-yard freestyle at day 2 of the Emory Invitational with a time of 24.06. It was the fastest she had ever swam the event in a dual meet and just short of a lifetime best time.
