TEAM PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR

Men's Golf at UNG Fall Invitational: Carson-Newman made up a seven-shot deficit from the second to third rounds at the North Georgia Fall Invitational to win its first event of the year. Coach Randy Wylie's team shot a field-best 12-under round of 276 in the final round to go 27-under. Five of the six Orange and Blue players in the field were in the red during the final round. As a whole, the team was six shots off of tying the best 54-hole score in the event. The win was highlighted by Tom Forster winning a share of the title with a 15-under 201, giving him the second-lowest 54-hole score in South Atlantic Conference history.

Swim at King Invitational: The Carson-Newman swim team completely dominated the King Invitational on Oct.4 and Oct. 5, winning 32 out of 36 total events. The team won every single relay event the competition had to offer. Carson-Newman won the invitational by over 1250 points. The Eagles finished with a combined score of all three sessions of 2,254 while the next closest competitor was Catawba College at 960.5.

Volleyball v. USC Aiken: Carson-Newman knocked USC Aiken from the undefeated ranks in straight stanzas 25-11, 25-21 and 25-13 on Oct. 11 at Holt Fieldhouse in the South Atlantic Conference versus Peach Belt Crossover. They were one of 10 teams across all divisions to be without a blemish entering play the weekend and held the seventh-longest active winning streak in the NCAA. The Eagles limited the Pacers to a .000 attack percentage thanks to 11 blocks while C-N racked up a .292 efficiency mark being led by 15 kills from Marnie Streeter.

Men's Soccer at North Greenville: Carson-Newman notched its largest margin of victory in a season-opener in program history thanks to a dominant 7-0 win over North Greenville. Three different Eagles found the back of the net in the win, including four goals from Tobias Solem Karlsen in a span of 8:26 early in the first half. C-N outshot the Crusaders 36-4 in the contest with 22 of those shots coming in the second half alone. Bram Kaarsgaren and Joe Boyd combined for the shutout victory in front of the net.

Football v. Tusculum: Carson-Newman honored 25 seniors with a complete effort on both sides of the ball in a for  49-13 throttling of South Atlantic Conference rival Tusculum to close out the regular season.  The Eagles tied a program record with 10 sacks. With the sacks, Carson-Newman (8-2, 6-2 SAC) forced Tusculum to lose 60-yards worth of field position throughout the day, tacking on 15 tackles for loss for a total of 72 yards. C-N held Tusculum to minus-35 net yards on the ground, the third-fewest by a C-N opponent in a single game.

Football v. UNC Pembroke: Carson-Newman (3-1) matched single-game program records for interceptions, rushing touchdowns and points in a quarter en route to a 69-18 shellacking of UNC Pembroke (2-3) Saturday afternoon at Burke-Tarr Stadium. Carson-Newman picked off five passes for the fourth time in school history, tallied eight rushing touchdowns for the seventh time in school history and pounded out 35 points in the fourth quarter for the third time ever. All the while, the Eagles handed UNC Pembroke the worst defeat in the program's 12-year existence.  The 51-point margin of victory bests a 62-14 loss at the hands of North Alabama. The Eagles' 69 points are the most the Braves have ever allowed as well.
