MALE NEWCOMER:

Alex Hodge: Alex Hodge made a splash out the game with the men's golf team, starting in all four of the team's four events throughout the fall, two of those being at the No. 1 position. In his debut semester, the graduate transfer notched three top-10 finishes. Of those, two landed him in the top five, including a fourth-place debut at the Cougar Invitational in late September. Through 12 rounds of play, Hodge holds the second-lowest scoring average on the team with a 71.3.

Braxton Westfield: Westfield becomes Carson-Newman's first first-team all-conference and all-region wideout in a decade and the first since Reggie Hubbard earned a spot on the first team in 2009.  Westfield has been a big-play threat for Carson-Newman all year.  In his second career game as a Carson-Newman football player, Braxton Westfield put his name in the record books. In a week two loss to Wingate, Westfield grabbed three passes, all for touchdowns, for a whopping 169 yards receiving.  His scores traversed 81, 53 and 35 yards. The 81-yard catch is the seventh longest reception in school history. His 169 yards are the 10th highest single-game total in school history and the third most of the option era. Additionally, his 56.3 yards per catch are the most of any wide out with three catches or more in a single game and the fourth most among players with two or more receptions. His three touchdown catches are also tied a school record. For the year, Westfield has 36 catches for 680 yards.  He set an option-era record for receptions with a 10-catch, 139-yard day against Lenoir-Rhyne.  Westfield has found the end zone 11 times this season, the second most receiving touchdowns by an Eagle in a single season all-time and the most in the option era.

Damarkus Jones: A force in Carson-Newman's defensive backfield, the Merced transfer finished second on the team in tackles with 69.  Jones produced three picks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery on the year. He took over in the playoffs against Lenoir-Rhyne to become the fourth player in the last decade with a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pick all in the same game.

Connol McCambridge: Graduate transfer Conal McCambridge was the top men's finisher for every race for the Carson-Newman cross country team this season. McCambridge started his Eagle career off by taking third-place at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational on Sept.6. He then placed tenth at the Wingate Invitational 8k at a time of 26:27.6. He followed that up by finishing 50th out of 515 runners at the Louisville Classic on Oct. 5. After a 54th-place finish out of over 530 participants at the Queens Invitational, McCambridge went on to place 16th at the SAC Championships and 35th at the NCAA Southeast Regional

Bram Kaarsgaren: In his debut season at Carson-Newman, Bram Kaarsgaren made his way into the men's soccer program's record book with the ninth-most wins in a season with nine. Through 16 appearances on the pitch, he recorded 15 starts with four shutouts. He was third in the conference with 71 saves, a 0.789 saving clip, 19 goals against and a 1.13 goals against average. He became the first keeper in team history to receive SAC AstroTurf Defensive Player of the Week honors twice in one season
