MALE PERFORMANCE:

Tom Forster at UNG Fall Invitational: Tom Forster tallied a new career-best outing and the fourth tournament win of his career with a 15-under showing at the North Georgia Fall Invitational in October. The senior's 201 through the three rounds  the second-lowest 54-hole score in South Atlantic Conference history. Forster shot under par in all three rounds of the event, including a seven-under showing in the second round with a 65, matching his career-low for a single round.

Trayzel Jureidini-Wyche v. Tusculum: Wyche led Carson-Newman's defense in its dominant 49-13 senior day win over Tusculum with eight tackles, 4.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss he earned national, TSWA and SAC Player of the Week honors for his performance.   He helped Carson-Newman hold an opponent to negative yards rushing for the seventh time in school history.  The Pioneers backed up 35 yards on 30 carries for the third fewest rushing yards against Carson-Newman by a C-N opponent in school history.  Wyche himself inserted his name into the record books.  The 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks are both good enough for third all-time in C-N's all-time single game annals for both stats.  His 4.5 sacks are the third highest single-game total in NCAA Division II this year, while the 5.5 tackles for loss are the sixth highest single-game total in Division II.

Rondrow Peebles v. West Florida: In his first career start, Peebles tallied 12 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in the Eagles' 20-13 win over the Argos.  His stops behind the line of scrimmage negated 28 yards for West Florida. He also broke up two passes.  Peebles is the first Eagle to earn defensive player of the week honors from the league office since Alonzo Houston picked up the laurels following the Eagles' 31-14 win over Wingate on ESPN 3 on Sept. 15 last year.  He is the first TSWA honoree since Desmond Fairell (Miami, Fla.) was recognized after a two-INT performance against Virginia-Lynchburg on Oct. 21, 2018.  With Peebles' recognition, Carson-Newman has brought home six of the last 11 state defensive player of the week awards.  All of Peebles stats go down as career numbers.  He had a combined 11 tackles in his two years with Carson-Newman prior to the West Florida game.

Troy Dendy at Limestone: Carson-Newman freshman running back Troy Dendy strengthened his resume for the SAC's Offensive Freshman of the Year against Limestone. Dendy became the first freshman to rush for 200 yards in a single game in program history. He had 200 yards on 23 carries and a score. Dendy's performance was the 37th 200-yard day in program history.

Braxton Westfield at Lenoir-Rhyne: In a second-round playoff loss to Lenoir-Rhyne, Braxton Westfield led all receivers with 10 catches for 139 yards.  It was his second career 100-yard receiving performance.  His 10 catches are the most of the option era and the third highest for a single-game in school history.  He had the first 10-catch performance for C-N since Mike Souder's 11-catch day against Presbyterian in 1969.

Antonio Wimbush at Bowie State: Under the spotlight of playoff football, Antonio Wimbush delivered at Bowie State. The senior tallied more than 200 yards of total offense, rushing for 143 yards on 18 carries and a game-sealing score against a top-10 defense.  He also caught a screen pass for 62 yards that set up a game-winning TD.

Tobias Solem Karlsen at North Greenville: Tobias Solem Karlsen played a major role in Carson-Newman's 7-0 thwarting of North Greenville to open the season, finding the back of the net four times. His four goals came within a span of 8:26 and landed him in a three-way tie with Ryan Williams and Dario Carrasco for the second-most goals in a single game in the C-N record book. The outing was the seventh multi-goal game of his career.

Caleb Howell at Emory Invitational: Caleb Howell won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:51.61 on the first day of the Emory Invitational, good enough for the fastest time in the nation at that point in the season. Howell then won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.15 and took second in the 400-yard individual medley at 4.03:84 on day two of the Emory Invitational.

EJ Bush at Lees-Mcrae: An NAIA All-American at Bryan, EJ Bush had a stellar debut for Carson-Newman men's  basketball. The Oak Ridge, Tenn. was highly efficient and effective in producing a 27-point, 13-rebound doublle-double in a 103-101 loss to Lees-McRae.  He made 13-of-17 shots to go along with six offensive rebounds and another seven defensive caroms. Bush also added in three blocks.

Christian Shouse at Bast-Cregger Invitational: In his first-ever collegiate meet, freshman Christian Shouse showed up in a huge way for the Eagles at the Bast-Cregger Invitational. He was able to claim at least a share of first place in four of the seven events in the heptathlon combined events series, finishing with 5,007 points -- a program record for C-N. It is the fifth highest point total among all heptathlons in Division II this season and would provisionally qualify Shouse into the NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championship. A dominant performance on the high jump, Shouse's gold mark of 2.09m was a full seven inches higher than second place.
