Eagles ranked No. 14 in the CSCAA DII Top 25 Poll

AUSTIN, Texas – Carson-Newman's Women's Swimming squad ranked 14th in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division II Top 25 poll this past Friday Oct. 18. 

The Eagles were slotted 14th in the recent top 25 after earning 102 points from the selection committee. The purpose of the CSCAA top 25 poll is not to make predictions about end of season standings in the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships scheduled for March 11th-15th in Indianapolis, Ind. The poll is meant to provide a preseason overview of all Division II swimming programs.

Carson-Newman was joined by fellow SAC schools in the top 25 CSCAA poll with Wingate ranked 5th with 208 points and Catawba ranked 21 receiving 53 points. The Eagles men's squad was just outside of the top 25 poll ranked 29th earning 8 points. 

The Eagles are currently 1-1 on the season after a road win over Emory & Henry in a score of 261-104. The- trip to Virginia Tech saw Carson-Newman come up short to the Hokies with a final score of 287-212. 

Carson-Newman swimming gets back in action this Saturday, Oct. 26 in a SAC conference meet on the road at Mars Hill in Harrell Pool in Mars Hill, N.C. beginning at 11:00 a.m.
