Passmore fires career best round to pace Eagles at Lander Lady Bearcat Invite

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Chelsea Passmore (Knoxville, Tenn.) shot a career best 73 (+1) to pace Carson-Newman to a fifth place finish after day one of the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational Saturday morning in Hilton Head, S.C.  Passmore finished the day in a tie for third, and a stroke off the lead.

The Eagles are even with Armstrong Atlantic.  C-N finished in front of conference mates Queens, Wingate and Coker.

C-N sits 15 strokes away from first place Flagler, but the Eagles are eight away from second place UNC Pembroke.

Kelli Pemberton turned in a first round 79 (+7) in her first competition since the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate.  Danielle Baiunco rounded out the scoring for the Eagles with an 80 (+8).
