FORT MILL, S.C. – Senior CJ Jensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) surpasses her own school record in the women's 400 IM as part of another successful morning at BMC Championships for C-N. The Eagles took to the pool for the second day of action from the Palmetto State.

Jensen's performance in the 400 IM was just the start of a multitude of exceptional placement for the Eagles. Junior Meredith Ginn (Ocala, Fla.) also surpassed the old 400 IM school record, and now holds the second fastest time in program history for the event. This is the second straight day for Ginn to be making a claim at a school record, or coming just a few seconds short.

Other top-five program placement for the Eagles include sophomore Manon Compagner (Balkburg, The Netherlands) placing herself fourth in the women's 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.12 and freshman Nicolas Lenuza (Spain) cemented a fifth best time in the men's 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.83.

"This morning was a mixed bag of results, but still we had some positive swims and have a lot of swimmers returning tonight for finals," head coach Jordan Taylor said. "It was impressive to have not only CJ break her record, but have Meredith come in under the old record as well to be in the top-2."

Compagner will be joined by teammate Chrisman Rand (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) in tonight's 'A' final for the 100-yard butterfly. In the 'B' or 'C' final, the Eagles have a duo competing in either with Laurel Sankowski (Indian Trail, N.C.) and Kennadi King (Marietta, Ga.) in the 'B' final while Kyla Blakemore (South Africa) and Claudia Carroll (Atlanta, Ga.) will compete in the 'C' final.

For the men, the Eagles will have their most competitors in tonight's 200-yard freestyle finals. Sophomore Raphael Lima (Sao Paulo, Brazil) will be the lone Eagle in the 'A' final, but has a quartet of teammates in the 'B' final and another in the 'C' final. Junior Matthew George (Manchester, England), freshman Denilson Cyprianos (Bulawayo, Matabeleland, Zimbabwe), junior Brandon Meier (Greeneville, S.C.), and freshman Carson Jones (Southaven, Miss.) will all see action in the 'B final' after compiling a place in the top-16 during this morning's prelims. Junior Danel Jacob (Israel) will be in the 'C' final after getting a top-25 event finish.

Sophomore Summer Osborne (Clearwater, FL) staked her claim and splashed her way to a place in the women's 200-yard freestyle 'A' finals later tonight. She is joined in the event by King who will swim in the 'B' finals while both sophomore Linda Ungerboeck (Vienna, Austria) and freshman Makayla Young (Lexington, Ky.) were able to garner top-25 finishes and a place in the 'C' finals for the event once action resumes.

The other event which saw a quartet of Eagles advance is the men's 400-yard IM. In tonight's 'B' final, freshman Benaiah McDowell (Simponsville, S.C.) and juniors Joey Clemmer (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and Kodee Eads (Johnson City, Tenn.) will all push to help the Eagles pursue a Conference title in the event and push them closer to an overall title. The Eagles will also have freshman Adam Jones (Huntsville, Ala.) in the 'C' final striving to gain more points and push the team forward.

The team will continue its trek through the conference championships tonight during the final events at 5:00 p.m. Once again, there will be a livestream via Queens University and the link can be found at cneagles.com.
