JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman and the Eagles' football program are poised to pay homage to two alumni groups during two games this fall.
The 2022 Carson-Newman University football season will feature two weekends this fall in which football alumni will be welcomed back to be recognized and honored. During the weekend when Carson-Newman plays Limestone (Sept. 17), players from the Dal Shealy era (1970-73) will be recognized.
Then, when Carson-Newman plays host to Newberry on Oct. 1, players from 1979-93 are invited back to campus for an all-80s reunion.
Coach Dal Shealy Era Reunion (1970 – 1973)

This era features members from five NAIA National Championship teams (1983, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1989), one NAIA National Runner-Up, and six South Atlantic Conference Titles.
