Harrogate, Tenn. - Lincoln Memorial University defeated the Lady Eagles by a score of 6-3. LMU took the #1 and #3 doubles matches to take an early lead in the match.
Senior Elizabeth Sneed (Kingsport, TN) and sophomore Kylie Elliott (Maryville, TN) prevented a sweep of the double by scoring an 8-4 victory at #2 doubles. Then Taryn Cappadona (junior, Kennesaw, GA) evened the match by winning 6-2,6-1 at #4 singles.
However, Carson-Newman could never mount any momentum and lost 4
out of the 5 remaining singles matches. The Lady Eagles are now 4-1
overall and 0-1 in South Atlantic Conference play. Next up for the
