Rock Hill, S.C.- The South Atlantic Conference released its all-conference teams on Monday morning and Joao Pedro Oliveria was named to the preseason second-team.
"It means a lot to me," Oliveria said. "Especially the people that supported me, they know that I like to play hard on and off the court."
This is Oliveria's first preseason award in his career, during the 2013-14 season Oliveria picked up an honorable mention postseason singles award.
Last Season Oliveria compiled an 8-11 record at the No. 1 singles position and a 6-13 record in doubles play with partners Stefano Daza and Jesus Barcete.
Carson-Newman opens the season on the road in Orlando, FL against Florida Tech on February 10th at 11 a.m. The firs home match for the Eagle is on February 24th against Tennessee Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
