Eagles move back into NSCAA rankings at No. 25

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn – The Carson-Newman women's soccer team has moved back into the NSCAA's top 25 rankings, claiming the No. 25 spot in the most recent poll.

This comes after a week that saw the Eagles grab a couple of victories at McCown Field. They started off on Wednesday by topping King (Tenn.), 3-0, and followed that up by dominating conference foe Catawba, 6-0, on Saturday to move into second place in the South Atlantic Conference.

This is the fourth time C-N has appeared in the NSCAA's rankings, as they've risen as high as 10th this season. In the regional rankings, the team currently sits in fourth.

Western Washington jumped four spots to No. 1 in Division II, dropping three-time defending champion Grand Valley State to second. Colorado School of Mines is ranked third, followed by University of Central Missouri with West Chester University rounding out the top five.

The Eagles will put their ranking on the line when they travel to Wingate on Saturday for a 5pm match.
