JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – After a successful 10-win regular season, No. 44 Carson-Newman (11-7, 9-4 SAC) is listed under consideration for the Southeast Region in the first DII Regional Rankings.
In a packed week featuring four conference matches, C-N took three of four, including an upset win over No. 31 Newberry on Senior Day in Mossy Creek. Due to their recent success and overall body of work during the regular season, the Eagles are in the top 50 for the first time this season.
C-N is joined in the initial regional rankings by SAC foes Lenoir-Rhyne and Limestone.
With a win over No. 43 Tusculum since the rankings came out, the Eagles have already strengthened their standing and look to further strengthen their case against No. 15 Wingate in the SAC semifinals on Friday.
