CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Carson-Newman (1-2) dropped its first road match of the season, falling to No. 17 University of Charleston (3-0), 4-1 on Saturday evening.
Due to time constraints, C-N and Charleston played only No. 1 and 2 doubles, as well as not playing No. 4 and 6 singles.
C-N secured its only point of the evening with Natasha Forrest's win in No. 2 singles. Charleston took the other three singles points in a two-set fashion.

In doubles, it was the Golden Eagles who secured the point, winning both of the two matches.
