"We want to encourage our fans," Carson-Newman head soccer coach Richard Moodie said, "to come out and continue to support us. They have been great all season."

The Eagles steamrolled Lenoir-Rhyne 4-0 last Saturday for their third conference victory. Marius Staalby (Norway) picked up the winning goal and an assist, Robert Wagner (Germany) saw his sixth goal of the season, and Joao Dowsley (Brazil) and Lucas Siqueira (Brazil) contributed the third and fourth goals respectively.

LMU fell 1-2 to L-R on Sept. 27. The Bears took the lead eight minutes in; Pedro Villa tied it up at 69 minutes. L-R stole the win 11 minutes later.

The Railsplitters are coming off a 3-1 win at Brevard last Saturday. LMU put in two goals by the 23rd minute, conceded one in the 34th, and sealed the 3-1 decision in the 86th.

The Lads stormed through the Tornados 2-0 on Sept. 27 with goals by Dominik Gronwald (Germany) and Wagner.

"We are looking forward," Coach Moodie said, "to this match."

Last season, the Railsplitters toppled the Eagles 3-2. C-N took a 2-0 lead 46 minutes in with goals by Nico Noll (Germany) and Ross Frame (United Kingdom). Between the 59th and 82nd minutes, LMU put up three goals; Pedro Villa claimed the first while Mario Pinto got the second two.

Of C-N and LMU's 26 meetings, the Railsplitters lead the series 11-13-2. In home play against LMU, the Eagles are currently 4-8. The last victory C-N had was a 2-1 final in 2012.

"We're looking forward to having LMU back at home," Coach Moodie said. "It will be a good game."
