Strudwick improves three strokes on day two of LPGA Senior Championship

FRENCH LICK, Ind. – Carson-Newman head women's golf coach Suzanne Strudwick dropped three shots off her round one scorecard on day two of the Legends' Tour's LPGA Senior Championship.

Strudwick fired a three-over 75 and sits in a tie for 33rd after day two.  The event concludes Tuesday with round three. Strudwick has a 10:35 a.m. tee time for the event which will air on the Golf Channel.

Strudwick, the 1993 LPGA Rookie of the Year, last played a full tournament schedule in 2004.  She has two professional tournament wins to her name, the Open de France Dames in 1989 and the AGF Ladies' Open in 1991.

Strudwick started hot in round two, birdieing two of the first three holes.  However, she bogeys the par-four fifth and the par-three eighth to head into the turn at even par.

After five straight pars, Strudwick ran into a spot of bother on 15.  She double-bogeyed for the first time in the tournament before bogeying 18 to finish round two at three-over.

Trish Johnson leads the tournament at five-under.
