ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the fourth-straight year in her career at Carson-Newman, Elizabeth England has received All-South Atlantic Conference first team accolades from the league as announced on Friday morning.

The lone senior on head coach Suzanne Strudwick's team is now the first C-N women's golfer to receive the honor is all four years of her career. Carson-Newman now has 21 all-time All-SAC selections, nine of those being named first team selections. An Eagle has made an appearance in the top-tier list every year for the past five seasons.

"It means a lot to me," England said. "I came into college golf with a lot of goals and one of them was to perform well each year, so it means a lot to me and I hope it just encourages that kind of expectation of performing well as we continue."

She has played 17 of the team's 19 rounds of golf this season with seven top-20 finishes. Four of those finishes came in the top-10 including a tournament win to open the season at the King Invitational.

England entered the season-opener as the defending champion in the event. She did just that with a +4 score of 146, her lowest 36-hole total of the season.

Currently sitting at 56th in Golfstat's national Division II women's rankings, she holds an adjusted scoring average of 76.27. She carded the team's lowest round score of 72 three different times this season, a score that only one other Eagle was able to match in this campaign.

England and the Eagles now prepare for the SAC Championship where she was the top medalist a season ago, setting a SAC Championship record with a two-under score of 214. The tournament will last from Sunday through Tuesday at the Members Club at Woodcreek in Elgin, S.C.
