JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – In Division II Baseball's latest set of top 25 rankings, Carson-Newman is ranked 24th in the poll that was released to the public on Monday afternoon.
This is the second time this season that DII Baseball has ranked C-N in the top 25.
The Eagles join South Atlantic Conference schools and future opponents Catawba and Lenoir-Rhyne in the rankings. The Indians rank seventh and the Bears are one spot behind them in eighth. C-N plays both schools in back-to-back weekend series' in mid-April.
Carson-Newman is one of six Southeast region schools ranked by DII baseball. North Greenville headlines this group as the number one team with a 20-3 record.
Six more Southeast region teams are receiving votes, two from the SAC in Coker and UVA Wise. The Eagles also play both of those schools in back-to-back weekend series' at the end of March into the beginning of April.
Carson-Newman is in action again at home tomorrow versus Lee. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. from the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex.
