JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – In Division II Baseball's latest top 25 rankings, Carson-Newman moved up for the second straight week to No. 21 in the poll that was released to the public on Monday afternoon.
This is the fourth time and third straight week that DII Baseball has ranked C-N in the top 25. C-N has moved up three spots over the past three weeks.
Carson-Newman has won seven straight games, the seventh-longest active winning streak in DII. Six of those victories have come on the road as well.
The Eagles are joined by South Atlantic Conference schools and future opponents Catawba and Lenoir-Rhyne in the rankings. LR moves up two spots to number three, while the Indians stay put at six. C-N plays both schools in back-to-back weekend series' in mid-April.
Carson-Newman is one of six Southeast region schools ranked by DII baseball. North Greenville is ninth, Young Harris is 17th and Mount Olive is 19th.
Carson-Newman is in action again at home tomorrow versus Shorter. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. from the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex.
