
Eagles 25th in latest NCBWA poll
For the second straight week, Carson-Newman (14-4, 7-2 SAC) is ranked in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll that was announced earlier today. C-N is number 25 in this week’s poll.

C-N drops four spots in the NCBWA rankings after going 2-2 last week. Tom Griffin's team took two of three in a home conference series with Lincoln Memorial last week.
C-N joins Catawba and Lenoir-Rhyne as South Atlantic Conference teams in the top 25. Catawba moves up from 11th to 9th in the rankings, while the Bears drop two spots, moving to 19th.
Only two other schools from the Southeast region are ranked. The number two team in the country, North Greenville. The Trailblazers received 3 first-place votes and are 16-3 this season. After being unranked in the last poll, Mount Olive sneaks into the rankings with six straight wins, checking in at 16.
No. 25 Carson-Newman is in action at home versus No. 6 Florida Southern for a three-game series at the Silver Diamond Baseball Complex.
