JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men's soccer coach Richard Moodie announced the signing of three players on Sunday with the additions of Evan Harr, David Hensel and Logan Parson.

Harr and Hensel are both midfielders from the Volunteer State while Parson is a winger from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Evan Harr – Bristol, Tenn. – Virginia High School – Midfielder

Evan Harr is a midfielder from Virginia High School in Bristol, Va. Harr is a three-time all-conference and all-region selection for the Bearcats and was named second-team All-State in 2014. He led Virginia High in goals and assists for two years each. He was the kicker and punter on the Bearcats' football team. He plays club soccer for FC Dallas TRI. Academically, he is a member of the National Honors Society and Beta Club. He was coached by Hunter Meade.

Harr is the son of Jon and Ramona Harr and will study Exercise Science. He was born on Sept. 5, 1997.

Moodie on Harr: "Evan Harr is a local kid from Bristol, Tenn. He is a fantastic individual. Evan, to me, is one of the best kids here locally. He plays for FC Dallas TRI. He is a fantastic player. I think, as a freshman, he can come in and get minutes without a doubt. For us, he is a player that holds the technical qualities at this level and the physical qualities. I'm very excited about having Evan Harr join the program. He's going to get a good chance to play with some of our players this summer at the new PDL team in Johnson City. I think he is a player who can walk in and compete for playing time right away."

David Hensel – Spring Hill, Tenn. – Summit High School – Midfielder – @ballincollin11

David Hensel is a midfielder from Summit High School in Spring Hill, Tenn. With the Spartans, Hensel recorded 12 goals and 11 assists during his junior season. He was named a 2015 District 11-AAA All-District team member and will serve as the team captain. During Hensel's freshman campaign, the Spartans won the District 11-AAA title. Academically, he is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honors Society and Habitat for Humanity.

Hensel is the son of David and Kara Hensel and will study Pre-Med.

Moodie on Hensel: "He is a fantastic individual and a good, good footballer. Technically, he is very gifted. He's definitely flourished and improved in the time we've seen him and we think he's the ability to improve. He definitely holds the physical qualities to play immediately in the college game. I think, like any freshman, it's just adjusting to the tempo and the speed of the game and the decision making process is involved there, too."

Logan Parson – Hebron, Ky. – Conner High School – Winger

Logan Parson is a winger from Conner High School in Hebron, Ky. With the Cougars, Parson scored 23 goals, 24 assists and was the team's Offensive Player of the Year for three seasons. He was coached by Kevin Crone.

Parson is the son of Kristin Parson and will study Graphic Design. He was born on June 17, 1998. His cousin, Alexa Leopold, played soccer at Columbia College.

Moodie on Parson: "We think Logan is a player who can come in and compete immediately as a freshman but he is also a player for the future; he's a player who has the physical qualities to change a game in respect with his speed. Technically, he is a very gifted player as well. As he adjusts to the level of the college game and the Southeast region, I think he is someone who will come in and fight for minutes and as soon as he can acclimates himself to the level and speed of play, he will be a player for us in the future."
