Eagles spread wings to give back to Mossy Creek

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Carson-Newman women's soccer took time out of its busy schedule to head out and give back to the Jefferson City community on Wednesday afternoon to show the Mossy Creek thank for its support during the 2015 season. 

The 15th-ranked Eagles passed out posters and t-shirts, while also socializing with to the campus's neigbors and locals businesses. The players also worked to spread word on the program's recent rankings and success. 

"It was nice to get out in the community, meet some of our local supporters and give back for their continued success," junior defender Elissa Lane (Knoxville, Tenn.) said. 

The Eagles travel to Coker for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Saturday as C-N tries to clinch its first regular season conference title since 2010.
