JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Southeast Regional champions and third-ranked Columbus State Cougars scored a goal in each half and knocked off the South Regional champs and fourth-ranked Barry Buccaneers to advance to the program's first-ever Final Four Sunday afternoon at McCown Field.

Midfielder Hugrun Elvarsdottir scored in the ninth-minute off a corner from Chelsea Person that was headed from the far post by Mandy Janowitz to put Columbus State up 1-0. The goal was Elvarsdottir's second goal of the season.

In the 76th-minute, the Cougars doubled their advantage off a free kick. Barry fouled a CSU player at the edge of the box to set up the free kick that was taken by Taylor Marks, who took a shot off the free kick. Marks's shot was deflected and landed at the foot of Nicole Corcione who knocked the ball into the net for her 15th goal.

Columbus State outshot Barry 18-15. Cougar goalkepper Maylyn Parsons did not allow a goal and made seven saves. The Buccaneers' Paula Forero allowed two goals and made six saves and they were led by Shanice Robe who had six shots.

The Cougars will travel to Pensacola, Fla. for the Final Four on Dec. 3rd.
