JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman head women's soccer coach Simon Duffy has announced Kristopher Kirchhoff as the program's new assistant coach.

"Delighted to have Kris onboard," Coach Duffy said. "I think he will fit in very well, especially coming from a quality program in Campbellsville. Excited to get to work with him."

Kristopher Kirchhoff comes to Mossy Creek from Campbellsville University in Kentucky, where he served as a women's soccer assistant coach for the past two seasons. He helped the program achieve historical marks in his two seasons. In 2022, he helped lead the program to its first Mid-South Conference tournament championship, while also defeating its highest ranked opponent in program history that same season. He also assisted in coaching Angeline Kieh to All-American honors.

"It's definitely a late transition," Kirchhoff said. "But after meeting with Coach Duffy and seeing the facilities and everything that Carson-Newman has to offer, it was almost a no brainer for me to make the change."

Prior to his stop in Campbellsville, Kirchoff played three seasons at Trinity Christian College from 2016-18. He was a three-year starter and captain of the squad his senior season. He earned CCAC Scholar-Athlete twice and was a winner of the Keith Albers award. Kirchhoff graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise Studies from Trinity in 2018.

After his graduation, he pursued his Master's in Organizational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University in 2020, while also assisting with the men's soccer program.

He received his first assistant coach role back at his alma mater, Trinity Christian College, where he assisted both the men's and women's programs in 2021. Kirchhoff also holds a USSF National 'D' Coaching License.

"I think the biggest thing will be just getting to know the team in a short period of time," Kirchhoff said. "Once you build those relationships, everything else comes easy. Spending time and building those relationships will be huge."
