JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Holly Talbut-Smith is the third Carson-Newman women's soccer alumna that has signed a professional soccer contract this summer, signing with the Worthing football club in England.

Talbut-Smith was a regular in C-N's starting lineup during her four seasons in Mossy Creek from 2015-18. The forward started 78 of the 85 games she played in, helping the team win a SAC regular season championship all four years and the SAC tournament championship three times. She was a key piece to the team's success, scoring 22 goals and adding 29 assists, the third-most by an Carson-Newman player in program history. Half of her 22 goals were game-winners.

The Crawley, England native was a two-time All-SAC player and earned Third-Team All-Southeast Region honors in 2017. She was also recognized for her efforts in the classroom, earning NCAA Division II Academic All-District honors her sophomore and junior years, before earning third-team honors from the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-South Region team.

After her time with Carson-Newman, Talbut-Smith competed with Nashville Rhythm FC before eventually returning back to her home country England. She played four seasons with the Crawley Wasps, making 62 appearances.
