GREENVILLE, Ind. – For the third straight year, six Carson-Newman women's soccer players were recognized on the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games or started in at least 66 percent of the contests.

Senior Molly Bukiewicz (Beavercreek, Ohio), graduate student Savannah Fields (Johnson City, Tenn.), juniors Felicia Frick (Eschen, Liechenstien) and Selina Jud (Wilderswil, Switzerland) and sophomores Berna Kabakci (Zeddam, Netherlands) and Karli Pettitt (Kingston, Tenn.) were those represented by C-N as all-district selections.

It's the third straight all-district honor for Fields, while Frick and Jud earn their second selections and Bukiewicz, Kabakci and Pettit earn their first career honors.

Bukiewicz earned her first all-district honor after scoring the first two goals of her Carson-Newman career this season. Her first career goal came in C-N's shutout win versus King on Sept 11. Her second and final goal of the year helped the Eagles defeat Tusculum in the regular season finale 3-1.

Fields' third straight all-district honor comes after yet another reliable season in C-N's midfield. She was just one of three Eagles to start and play in all 16 games this season. She scored two goals this season and added one assist. Her first goal of the season was the tying goal in a 2-2 draw with #9 Catawba on Sept 18. Her C-N career concludes with eight goals and six assists in 76 career games.

A second straight all-district honor was earned by Frick after scoring three goals in her junior season. She scored her first of the season in Carson-Newman's first conference win of the season on Sept 21 versus Coker. She would later score her second and third goals of the year via penalty kicks. The first of which allowed her to stand alone at the top of C-N's record book for most penalty kicks made in program history, with her sixth against Wingate. She is a perfect seven for seven in her career heading into a senior season.

Jud's second straight all-district honor comes after a junior season where she scored four goals and had an assist for the second straight year. She recorded her second career brace in a 3-1 win versus Tusculum in the regular season finale. Jud scored her other two goals in road wins against Trevecca Nazarene and Tusculum.

Starting in all 16 games as C-N's goalkeeper, Kabacki collected her first career all-district honor. She made a season-high eight saves in two separate games against #23 Columbus State and #7 Lenoir-Rhyne. The Dutch keeper finished her sophomore season with a 1.26 goals against average mark and saved 74 percent of the shots that came her way.

Pettitt rounds out Carson-Newman's all-district selections, also earning the first of her career. It was a superb sophomore season for Pettitt, starting in all 16 games and finishing in a tie with Jud for the most goals on the team with four. She scored in back-to-back wins versus Union and King early in the season. Her final two goals came in the same game, helping Carson-Newman defeat Coker 3-1 on Sept 21. She also added two assists, one of which came in the Coker game and the other that came in a 2-0 win versus Mars Hill on Oct 12.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The six selections will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot where first, second, and third-team Academic All-America honors will be announced in December. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.
