Eagles Release 2023 Tennis Schedule

Jefferson City, Tenn. - Carson-Newman's men's tennis released their schedule for the 2023 spring season. The Eagles will fly to Harrogate, Tenn., to take on Belmont at Lincoln Memorial University's tennis complex on Feb. 4th.

Carson-Newman will then make a trip to Dahlonega, Ga., to take on the University of North Georgia on Feb. 5th. The Eagles will have their sights set on Lander on Feb. 10th when they head to Greenwood, S.C.

Carson-Newman will return to Harrogate, Tenn., to take on Union College on Feb. 12th. Charry's squad returns to Lincoln, Memorial's tennis complex once again when they face off against Lees-McRae on Feb. 18th.

The Eagles head to Young Harris, Ga., on Feb. 19th to compete against Young Harris University. Carson-Newman closes out February with a match at Lee University on the 25th.

Carson-Newman's first home appearance and conference opponent comes on Mar. 4th when they match up against Catawba College. On the 8th, the Eagles will head to Hickory, S.C., to face off against Lenoir-Rhyne University. Next, Charry's squad will travel to Limestone University on Mar. 11th.

The Tusculum Pioneers will travel to Carson-Newman's Charles A. "Buddy" Catlett Tennis Complex on Mar. 15th. The Eagles will then travel to face off against Anderson University on Mar. 18th. The Eagles will close out the month of March with home games against Coker (Mar. 25th) and Emory and Henry (Mar. 29th).

On Apr. 1st, the Eagles will face off against one of their more formidable opponents of the season when they head to Wingate University. The Eagles will then make their 4th trip to Harrogate, Tenn., to take on Lincoln Memorial University's Railsplitters on the 5th. Two days later, Charry's squad will travel to take on Virgina-Wise.

Carson-Newman's final home match comes on Apr. 11th against Mars Hill. The final match of the season will be at Newberry on the 15th.  

Carson-Newman's men's team finished the season with a 14-8 record with an 8-4 record in conference play, including two wins over nationally ranked opponents in no. 47 Lincoln Memorial and no. 38 Wingate, marking their first win over the bulldogs in more than 15 years. At the end of the last spring season, the Eagles ranked 38th in the ITA rankings.
