TEMPE, Ariz. - #36 Carson-Newman men's tennis (13-8, 10-2 South Atlantic Conference) climbs five spots in the ITA Division-II Rankings despite losing to Tusculum University in the conference semifinals.
The Eagles were ranked 42nd in the rankings released on Apr. 19th. The #36 spot is the highest the Eagles have been ranked since Mar. 22nd, when the Eagles earned the #26 spot after defeating the 17th-ranked undefeated Anderson Trojans 6-1.
The Eagles finished the 2023 season with a program record 10 conference wins, earning them third place in the SAC. The Eagles had not finished third in the conference since 2006, when the conference only had six teams.
#14 Wingate University is the highest-ranked SAC team. #30 Tusculum, #42 Anderson, and #45 Limestone are the remaining SAC teams that are ranked.
