The Eagles began the season 22-0 before dropping a trio of matches against Division-I opponents at the Scenic City Showdown. Carson-Newman's 22-game win streak steamrolled the previous program record of five set in 2020.

Last season the Eagles finished 9-2 against SAC schools. The Eagles were 5-0 against Catawba, beating them 4-1 four times and 5-0 once.

McKenna Hall and Julia Wheeler lead the Eagles in individual wins with 24, setting the program record for wins in a season. Abbey Hildenbrand and Ava Fountain are second with a record of 22-3 this season. Piper Halcrow is the only other Eagle this season with over 20 wins. Halcrow has a 21-2 record in the five spot.

Sierra Still is the all-time leader in individual wins with 45. Mia Toribio is second with 40. McKenna Hall has a chance to join the 40-win club if she wins a single matchup on Friday. Hall holds Carson-Newman's program record for the best win percentage among Eagles who have completed an entire season. Hall has won 75% of her matchups.

Tusculum has a record of 4-6 against D-I opponents (Carson-Newman is 3-3). The Pioneers defeated Morehead State three out of four times this season and defeated Eastern Kentucky University once out of two tries. Carson-Newman defeated Morehead State 4-1 but lost to Eastern Kentucky 4-1.

Catawba went on a six-game winning streak to end March before losing their first game of April 3-2 against Richard Bland. The Catawba College Catawba Indians won their most recent matchup 3-2 against Lynchburg.
