Team chemistry has been a focal point for the team this year and has been at the center of the team's success up to this point.

"Our team goal is to be able to play with anybody," said Paige Halcrow. "During this last week we practiced game time situations with our partners. Getting to have that time with Jenny [Halcrow], figuring out what she likes, what I like and what works best for us and how we can be our most competitive self."

Camryn Ehlers and Callie Wilson played a big role in the Eagles success opening weekend.

"My partner is Morgan [Foy] and we were partners last year and we're back together this season," said Ehlers. "We won our first game today and we've worked great together and we're working through some things…we have a good connection.

Callie Wilson and her partner Kat Nelson contributed to the Eagles success in completing the sweep this weekend.

"Kat and I are very fast which makes it easy to run different things," said Wilson. "Our speed makes it hard for other teams to keep up. We're doing great but we need to keep it up and keep doing our job."

Carson-Newman beach volleyball got back on the court on Friday, Feb, 21 taking on Coastal Carolina in Conway, S.C. with start times TBA.
