Eagles Beach Volleyball Tabbed First In Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman Beach Volleyball was named number one in the 2025 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches Poll.

In the Preseason Poll voted on by the league's six head coaches, the Eagles received four first place votes and finished with 54 points. Tusculum was selected second overall with two first place votes and a total score of 51. Erskine rounded out the top three with 44 points. Emmanuel was next with 42 points, Catawba with 40 points and Wingate last with 39 points. 

"It's a great honor to be seen as the top team," said head coach Cat Collins. "Now we get to work on it and make sure we are doing our best to be that team."

C-N's season kicks off at home on Friday, Feb. 14 at the beach Volleyball courts in Jefferson City, Tenn. The Eagles first matchups are against Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) starting at 11:00am and Lynchburg at 3:00pm. The second day of the meet C-N takes on FSCJ at 11:00am followed by Southern Virginia at 3:00pm. 

Senior Beach Volleyball players Paige Halcrow and Jenny Ille were named as the SAC Pair to Watch for this season.
