Eagles Welcome Pioneers To Mossy Creek For Mid-Week Showdown

VIDEO: Cat Collins Interview

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman looks to complete the sweep of the Pioneers when Tusculum makes the trip to Mossy Creek this Wednesday, March 26, for the second match of the home-and-home series with the Eagles.

The mid-week matchup between the Eagles and Pioneers kicks off Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the C-N beach volleyball courts.

"I love our lineup right now, and they have really stood out," said head coach Cat Collins. "Trinity [Hafey] and Kylee [Oldenburger] have found great chemistry. They didn't start together, but the way they've been playing together the last few weeks has been very impressive. Kat [Nelson] and Addie [Smith] are so funny, and their chemistry works so well for them. It's that intangible chemistry in those pairs that takes us to the next level of our game."

Last week, Carson-Newman took down Tusculum in a 4-1 victory, with the only loss coming in the fourth flight. The Eagles currently have an overall record of 13-4 and are undefeated in SAC/CC conference play (6-0).

"The team played great, and it was a lot of fun," said Cat Collins. "We were cohesive, and everything went very smoothly. Our pairs performed very well and had great chemistry, which resulted in a good day."

The Pioneers hold an overall record of 4-7 and are 2-3 in conference play.
