ROCK HILL, S.C. – Beach volleyball pair Morgan Foy (Mebane, N.C.) and Camryn Ehlers (Dagsboro, Del.) were named South Atlantic Conference Pair of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The sophomore duo has put together the best record in the SAC up to this point in the season, going 12-2 in the first four meets. This marks the third time this season that C-N has been awarded the honor, with Foy and Ehlers winning twice, as well as Emerson Ahsmuhs and Trinity Hafey following the opening weekend.
"Morgan and Camryn had a great weekend," said head coach Cat Collins. "Their chemistry and ball control are unmatched. I'm proud of the way they have grown this season, and they just keep getting better."
In the first SAC/CC conference weekend of the season at Catawba College, the pair went 4-0 against Catawba, Erskine, Emmanuel, and Wingate. Foy and Ehlers have quickly cemented themselves as the pair to beat in the conference. The pair is undefeated in conference play, with the only losses coming in close matches against Liberty and ULM. The pair boasts a 21-12, 21-18 win over Division I College of Charleston in the meet at Liberty.
Carson-Newman beach volleyball takes the courts next on the road in a one-day matchup against the Tusculum Pioneers on Mar. 19, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
