ROCK HILL S.C. – Beach volleyball pair Emerson Ahsmuhs and Trinity Hafey were named South Atlantic Conference Pair of the Week.
Following the Eagles opening weekend, C-N welcomed Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ), Lynchburg and Southern Virginia to the banks of Mossy Creek for a two-day meet.
The team put on a dominant performance ending the weekend with an overall record of 19-1, with one loss coming in the third flight to Lynchburg.
Junior Trinity Hafey and freshman Emerson Ahsmuhs paired up to open the season going 4-0 on the weekend.
"Emerson and Trinity had a great weekend," said head coach Cat Collins. "They are connecting well on offense and their chemistry grew in our opening weekend. They are starting to do big and great things already, this pair has no limits and we are excited to see what they will do."
The pair took their skills from indoor volleyball to the beach courts with Hafey in her second year with beach and Ahsmuhs in her first.

Carson-Newman gets back in action Feb. 21 - 22 when the team travels to Coastal Carolina in Conway, S.C. beginning at 8:00 am.
