Head Coach Cat Collins Releases 2024 Beach Volleyball Schedule

Jefferson City, Tenn. - As the snow melts and the sand warms back up (kind of), head beach coach Cat Collins releases the official 2024 beach volleyball schedule, with an upcoming start on February 9th. 

"We gotta get ready fast." said Coach Collins "We need to walk through what our systems are, we talk through our defense and offense schemes and what those look like, making sure that we're prepared to play beacause we are playing sooner."

The beach squad will hit the ground running on February 9 and 10 with four matches over the the course of the weekend in Laurinburg, N.C. They will begin with play against Liberty and Spartanburg Methodist on Friday and matches against St. Andrews and Spartanburg Methodist on Saturday. 

Two weeks later, they will head off to Mount Berry, Georgia, home of Berry College for another two day frenzy. They will face Erskine and La Grange on Feb 23 and Tennessee Tech and Berry on Feb 24. 

The following weekend the Eagles will play host to Erskine and Catawba, with matches scheduled with both on March 1 and 2. 

March 8 and 9 will be spent in Florence, AL for a division 1 stacked weekend with the University of North Alabama and and Austin Peay. 

On March 13, Collins and her crew will venture to Salisbury, N.C for a midweek double header with South Atlantic Conference's Catawba and the Carolina Junior College Conference's Richard Bland. 

After the Wednesday matches, the Eagles will stay road bound for the weekend in Macon, GA on March 15 and 16. They will play two games each with Peach State natives Mercer and LaGrange. 

Following their road heavy week, Carson-Newman will return to the banks of Mossy Creek on March 23 to celebrate their graduation seniors with a ceremony before a double header with Liberty.

For their final regular season play, the Eagles will stay in the great state of Tennessee for a two day stint at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. They will see Tusculum and Jacksonville State on April 5 and Austin Peay and UTC on April 6. 

For post season play, Carson-Newman will head to Greenville, Tenn. on April 9 for their awaited Conference challenger with Catawba and Tusculum. The following week, the Eagles travel south to Tavares, Fl. for the AVCA National Championships. All times for matches of the conference and national championships are to be determined.
