Eagles dominate at Berry College

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman beach began their weekend hot, securing wins against Erskine and LaGrange in day one of the Berry Beach Bash tournament.

Neither Erskine nor LaGrange are strangers for the Eagles, with matches dating back to 2020. C-N is now 4-1 in the series with Erskine, and 5-0 against LaGrange.

C-N is undefeated over Erskine since early March of the 2021 season, when the Fleet defeated Carson-Newman 4-1.

In the Friday morning match with the Fleet, C-N took wins in seeds one, two, three, and four, dropping a match only in the fifth flight.

All top three seeds kept their matches down to only two sets, with the highest win difference coming from the Jenny Ille and Ava Fountain at 21-8 in the second seed.

Flights four, five, and the exhibition match all went to three sets, with Erskine coming out on top in two of them. Camryn Ehlers and Morgan Foy in the fourth seed pulled out a 15-7 win in the third set to come out on top of the Flying Fleet.
