Beach goes 4-0 at weekend in Georgia

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman beach showed dominance over their Georgia competition this weekend, finishing with a perfect 4-0 record after Saturday's matches. 

"I'm proud of the way we played this weekend, we earned every point and worked hard for every win." said head coach Collins. "This weekend showed a lot about our ability to adapt quickly. Our IQ grew this weekend and we did a good job controlling all the controllables. "

The Eagles collected their fifth sweeping victory of the season againt Tennessee Tech. Seed five was the only match of the game to go to three sets, and ended in a dub for Trinity Hafey and Katherine Nelson. 

Jenny Ille and Ava Fountain held the highest margin of victory over their opponents, keeping Tech's Skylar Boom and MK Roberts sub 10 in the first set.

Berry managed to steal a match from C-N in their second match of the day. Becky Blades and Bella Boston took both sets from Still/Hafey 21-18 in their singular win of the match.
