JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The beach volleyball squad will open up their season in Laurinburg, N.C this Friday and Saturday with a quadruple stacked weekend. 

Following the most successful season in program history, the team looks to extend their dominance into the 2024 season. 

They will begin Friday at noon against Liberty followed by a 2 pm match with Spartanburg Methodist. Saturday play will begin bright and early at 8 am against the hosts of the tournament, St. Andrew's. The Eagles close out their weekend at noon with their second match against Spartanburg Methodist.

Liberty went 13-10 last season. Carson-Newman saw the Flames at the Scenic City Showdown last March. The Eagles won the match 3-2, taking victories in seeds two, four, and five. 

Carson-Newman completed a perfect sweep over Spartanburg Methodist in their first recorded meeting last season. 

The Eagles have a longer history with St. Andrew's dating back to 2021. Carson-Newman hold a 9-0 record over the Saints going into their upcoming match on Saturday. Feb. 10. 

First serve on Friday is set for 12 pm in Laurinburg against the Liberty Flames.
