The Eagles Finished Strong at the BAC Invitational

BELMONT, N.C. - Carson-Newman's upper-classmen shine at the BAC Invitational on day two. Anita Chornei notched a sweep for the second day in a row.

With Ana Carla Resende continuing to sit out, Natasha Forrest slid into the number one for the Eagles. The United Kingdom native remained strong, winning in sets of 7-6 and 6-4.  
Chornei remains undefeated at the BAC Invitational for the Eagles. She won in sets of 6-1 and 6-3. The senior from Ukraine finished with a team-leading record of 36- 9 at the BAC Invitational.
Summer Reeves takes her first set in the number three spot into overtime points. The junior from England won in sets of 7-6 and 6-1. 
Julia Speiser ends singles action for the Eagles with a strong showing in the number four spot. Speiser downed her opponent 6-2 and 6-3 to allow the Eagles to remain perfect on the day in singles action. 
Forrest and Speiser teamed up at the number one spot in doubles action. The pair took down the Crusaders 6-2. Reeves and Anita swept the Crusaders 6-0. 
Carson-Newman 1, North Carolina Wesleyan 1 
The Eagles and the Battling Barons only competed in two doubles matches on the day. Forrest and Reeves lined up at number one, but the Barons won 6-4. Speiser and Chornei lined up at two and saw a 6-1 victory. 
The Eagles return to action at home for the Eagle Invitational starting on October 22nd.
