Eagles to Take on Cobras on Senior Day

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman women's tennis (0-10) will return to the Buddy Catlett Complex for senior day action against the Coker Cobras (2-10) on Saturday, Mar. 25th.

The Eagles feature three players ranked on the ITA's Division II National List. Anita Chornei is the 52nd-ranked player. Chornei has been ranked for three consecutive weeks. Natasha Forrest and Summer Reeves are the ITA's 46th-ranked duos pair in Division II. The pair holds a record of 2-3 on the year.

The Cobras picked up their first win of the season in a matchup with Johnson C. Smith University on Feb. 18th. The Cobras won 7-0. Coker's only other win of the season came against UVA-Wise when they won 5-2 on Mar. 19th.

Coker was one of Carson-Newman's six clean sheets last season. The Eagles defeated the Cobras 7-0 to begin conference play last year.

Forrest leads the Eagles in singles victories with seven. Forrest is 41-21 in her career after winning her last three matchups. Reeves is second on Carson-Newman's roster with six wins. Reeves holds a perfect record of 5-0 in conference play. No. 52 Chornei is third with four wins.

Doubles action will begin at 1:00 P.M. at Carson-Newman's Buddy Catlett Tennis Complex.
