JEFFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman will play host to a 40th anniversary reunion for the 1984 National Championship Team when the Eagle football team takes on Wingate on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at Burke-Tarr Stadium.
While the reunion celebrates the 1984 team, players from all the 1980s and early 1990s are welcome to attend the Carson-Newman Reunion of Football Team Champions
The reunion weekend commences Friday Sept. 20 with a golf tournament sponored by C-N Athletics Hall of Famer Mike Schlechter at 7:30 a.m. at Patriot Hills Golf Club in Jefferson City, Tenn. The events continue that evening at the Music Road Resort Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, which serves as the reunion's headquarters. There will be a reception that evening at 6:30 at the hotel. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be provided.
Prior to the game with Wingate, there will be a reunion tailgate at 11:00 a.m., while a banquet at the Music Road Resort Hotel will follow the game at 6 p.m.

Notes about the Event:
Each player will receive 4 tickets to the game.
Each player should check in at sign in tent so they can be announced during half time.
10 minutes before half time, each player should gather at Forever Eagle tent in the north end zone.
Dress is sports casual (slacks/not ties).
There is no cost for game tickets, reception tickets, or banquet tickets.
Banquet will be catered by Calhoun's.
